Objective / Job Summary:
Plan, implement and manage procedures to optimize and control inventory tracking systems, reviewing levels of supplies, ordering new materials, and performing a daily analysis so as to support business objectives. Should be trustworthy professional with outstanding record-keeping and analytical abilities. Should also be able to demonstrate excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Functional Outputs/Activities per key performance area:
- Provide leadership in the implementations of operations policies and procedures on inventory management, stores and warehouses to adoptive a thought logistic process for the best performance of the mini business
- Facilitate efficient communication of priorities and provide feedback from other coaches for implementation in the functional mini business.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost
- Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements
- Manage and develop logistics staff
- Create and manage budgets
- Conduct regular and monthly stock counts and reconciliations. Report any variations including the financial impact.
- Support business financial objectives by determining stock levels for all inventory categories in conjunction with users.
- Implement a system to ensure smooth flow of finished goods transfer process from production with accurate documents.
- Ensure accurate receipt and dispatch transactions are posted on the approved SAP including good receipt notes.
- Optimize the available storage space through proper stacking, keeping the stores clean.
- Oversee the tracking of grinded material and scrap by use of stock bin cards and preparation of regular reports over the same.
- Ensure full compliance of systems and policies in place, including participation in projects such as Kaizen.
- Ensure Production Assistants attached to stores meet their daily targets as stated in their job descriptions.
- Ensure that all products dispatched from stores for sale should have corresponding LPO from the customer.
- Ensuring that feedback obtained from customers is fully acted upon and well documented.
- Ensure timely delivery of customer orders with proper and timely communication regarding new PO issuance.
- Proactively support in sale of finished products to our customer and ensure that the sales budget is met.
- Preparation of periodic sales reports.
- Ensure compliance and adherence to Occupational Health Safety and Environmental procedures and practices as described in the company safety manual.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned to you by your supervisor.
Financial Management
- Monitor and ensure zero waste across the different manufacturing processes.
Risk Management
- Identify the department’s risks, their various mitigations and keep track of them.
Compliance
- Ensure regulatory compliance regarding product certification.
- Adherence to all SPS Policies and Procedures.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Hold a relevant bachelor’s degree in a relevant business course/Supply Chain.
- Knowledge in SAP.
- Awareness in occupational health and safety.
- 3-5 years’ working experience.
- Knowledge of accounting and stores Management is an added advantage.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Frequency of travel: Occasional travel is required for meetings; location may vary and may require overnight stays.
