Reports to: Managing Director

Job Purpose

To develop, implement, and manage the Banks’s social impact strategy. This role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including employees, community partners, and industry leaders, to drive initiatives that align with our corporate values and enhance our social and environmental footprint. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and community engagement, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve measurable social impact goals.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting, Business Administration/ Commerce or related field from an accredited institution.
  • A master’s degree in any business-related field
  • 12 years’ experience in banking, 5 years of which must have been at Senior management level
  • Member to a recognized professional body
  • Knowledge of current trends & practices in business and management
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools
  • Good knowledge of money markets, equity trading, margin trading and other capital market instruments.
  • Ability to take an enterprise and thought leadership approach
  • Well-developed business acumen, marketing & business development
  • Sound strategic thinking skills – ability to recognize and implement business strategies to drive profitability, growth, customer acquisition, customer experience and sales productivity
  • Excellent relationship building and networking skills (both internal & external)
  • Conflict resolution, strong negotiation and persuasion
  • Communication for effective presentations, facilitation and report writing purposes
  • Interpersonal sensitivity to interact with others in a sensitive and effective way. Respects and works well with others
  • Building capability – facilitate an environment where staff can learn, develop and share knowledge
